Week 66: Duas Americanas, clowns , e 15 Months??

Olá bom dia queridos, tudo bem?

I am officially all settled into my new area! I am in a smaller city called Louveira about 30 minutes south of Campinas. I am here with Sister Hinton and we are living it up. I honestly never thought I would have an American companion again on my mission, but here we are! It has been pretty funny to see all of the people who drive past us turn around 180 degrees to try and get a better look at the two Americans walking down the street. But I was a little more concerned when we saw a clown walking around up and down our street so I think people here should be a little more concerned about that.

Sister Hinton is still working on learning the language, so I have been doing most of the talking in our lessons and contacting. I have been surprised, I think my Portuguese is a lot better than I have given myself credit for! The gift of tongues is so real!

We had a couple awesome lessons this week with some of our friends! We have our friend Luiz Gustavo who is on date for baptism next weekend which we are super excited about! We also finished teaching the Plan of Salvation to our friend Adiltom and he loved it! He just kept telling us that it makes so much sense, and I have to say that I agree with him! We have a couple of lessons set up with some new friends this week as well which is always exciting!

I also had a super tender experience at church yesterday. Our Bishop asked me if I knew how to play the piano so I played in our sacrament meeting yesterday. One of the members walked up to me after and in English he said to me, "Sister, thank you for playing the piano today, it made my soul very happy." It was one of the sweetest experiences I have had thus far on my mission! Love and miss you all! I celebrated 15 months on my mission this week, time is just flying by!

Com amor,
