Week 67: Hitting the Streets!

Olá bom dia!!! Como vocês estão???

We had some BIG CHANGES this week in our mission! Our mission entered phase 3, which means we are able to street contact, knock doors, eat in member's homes, and all Sunday meetings are going to start happening as well! I honestly didn't think I would ever be able to talk to people in the street on my mission, but here we are! Here are my first tracting stories as I am currently teaching myself how to do it:
1. We were in a park talking with a lady and this homeless man ran up to us yelling "Sisteres! Sisters!" Usually not a good start to a conversation. But then he asked us for a Book of Mormon, so we handed one over to him. Turns out he used to go to church in Campinas, but things happened in his life and he is now living in Louveira. He looked us in the eyes and told us that he was so thankful he saw us in the park and that we had a Book of Mormon to give him, because the happiest he ever was in his life was when he was reading the Book of Mormon.
2. I contacted the same man twice-once in the morning and once in the afternoon. In my defense he had changed clothing. And the second time I started talking to him he didn't tell me that we had already talked.
3. We met Fransisco on a bench and asked him if he had ever wondered about the plan God has for his life. He told us yes, and we were able to teach him a little bit about the Plan of Salvation and get his phone number, and we will be calling him tonight!

To be completely honest, hitting the streets this week absolutely terrified me, I feel like I am starting my mission all over again with 15 months under my belt! But, I do know that the Lord trusts in me and all the other missionaries in my mission to figure this out! Just as the Lord prepared a way for us to find people through technology, I know he will continue to bless our efforts as we now use in person and online finding. What an amazing time to be a missionary!!

I love and miss you all! Have a fantastic week!
