Week 57: Happy 4th and 13 Months!!

Happy 4th of July!! While Brazil does not celebrate this holiday, I did find a little car shop that had red, white and blue pinwheels above it, so that was my patriotic moment of the day.

Elizandra and Reginaldo continue to amaze me. Their car ran out of gas so they weren't sure how they were going to get to church. Our church meeting starts at 5pm, so they took a bus at 2:30 in the afternoon and then waited for the church to open. After the meeting, they were about ready to walk 2 hours back to their house, but a member was able to give them a ride. They really made me think about how much I value going to church. Is it something I take for granted? Probably. They are seriously some of the most amazing people I have ever met, and I am so excited for them to get baptized here soon!

This week also marked 3 months since I moved to Brazil and 13 months as a missionary. The time is going by way to fast. I love being a missionary. I love Brazil. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so excited for these next 5 months!

Love and miss you all! I'd love to hear from you!!
