Week 26: Lamb and Lentil Stew...

Hello friends and family!!

Well this week had to be one of the busiest weeks of my whole mission! Every single day just was packed and we got so much done! We found three new people to teach and have about two more potential people! The best part is one of our potential people speaks Portuguese!!! We were going through some of our old records of people that had met with missionaries before, and I randomly clicked on this guy and started reading through his profile and saw that he spoke Portuguese. I called him on the phone and talked to him for a little bit in mixed english and português and he's totally cool to have us over! Not many people in Oregon speak Portuguese obviously,  so I don't think it was a coincidence we got in contact with him.

In other news, I've discovered that you don't have to leave the United States to eat gross food. A lady we are teaching has Jewish roots so she made us birthright lamb and lentil stew, which was basically brown mush with little chunks of lamb somewhere in there. That was really up there with the microwaved pumpkin I ate. And by microwaved pumpkin I don't mean pumpkin pie filling, I mean a whole pumpkin sliced up and put in the microwave to make it soft to chew. 0/10 recommend.

I'm so thankful we are moving into the Christmas season. I would 100% recommend participating in the #lighttheworld campaign. 2020 has been a rough year for everyone, so imagine the difference we can make on this year if all took a little time to look outside of ourselves and love and serve those around us! If you want more info please shoot me an email!

Love you all, thanks for all the emails and letters!!
