Week 56: So it was my birthday??

Olá, bom dia pessoal!

So yes, on Friday it was my birthday--according to the missionaries in the office. They completely surprised me with a cake, balloons, and birthday hats with my face on them. President and Sister Saucedo came too and wished me a happy 20.5 birthday! One of the Elders kept asking me if I was surprised and I of course was, no one shows up to the mission office on a normal Friday thinking they're going to celebrate their 20th birthday four months after the fact. It was a day I'll never forget for sure!!

In terms of teaching we had a pretty solid week! We were able to start teaching five new friends and contact a lot of new people! I was surprised at how much I am able to participate in lessons now. I've been here in Brazil for nearly three months now and I am actually understanding basically everything! The gift of tongues is so real! I mean this week I did have a little hiccup when one of our investigators asked us where the Book of Mosiah was in the Book of Mormon, but I thought she asked where the Elders were. So I told her it was in Ouro Verde (a different city in our mission) and Sister Queiroz about died from trying to keep in her laughter.

We put up our new video which was doing really well until it got blocked this morning on one of our pages. So that was unfortunate. But we are still running lots of ads and lots of people want to go to Church with the missionaries! So wahoo for that!

Thanks to you all for the love and support! Have a fantastic week!
