Week 24: Peace out KFalls

 Olá!!!

Well you heard it here first my time in Klamath Falls has come to an end. On Tuesday I will be moving to Springfield, OR! I am so sad to leave Klamath Falls and all the amazing people I've met, but I am so excited to move to the place Homer Simpson lives;) Sister Massey is staying in Klamath and I am actually going to be in a trio! This next transfer is only four weeks long so we will see how long the trio will last but I am so so excited to get to serve with two other companions!

In terms of teaching this week we had the best ever lesson with Deb! We went over and read from The Book of Mormon with her. While we were reading together the Spirit was so strong. Debbie loved everything we were reading about and told us she believes everything we are teaching her!! She told us since she's been meeting with missionaries she has noticed a difference in her life and she is much happier now than before she started meeting with us. The Gospel of Jesus Christ truly can change people and bring peace into their lives, and I've been able to see that with Deb!!

In other news I Bible Bashed with my first person, hid a deer head in the Elder's apartment (that's what they get for leaving their front door unlocked), and ate a burger the size of my face! Love you all, and I really do appreciate all your emails and letters!! Have the best week and I'll be writing to you from Springfield next week!!

Weeks 16 & 17: Temples and Car Washes!!

Hello everyone!!!! I have to apologize for not writing last week! I had the amazing opportunity to go to Medford and go to the temple! I am so thankful for temples and how they help us feel God's love for us! It was also awesome that I got to see my parents again for a little bit! Also Medford has an In n Out so it was overall a great day! In terms of people we are teaching we have been meeting with Deb for the past couple of weeks. In the past she has been meeting with Elders so we're the first Sisters she has met with. Deb told us she really liked meeting with Sisters because she felt she could open up and talk to us a lot more which was so good to hear! Originally she told the elders she no longer wanted to talk to missionaries because of all the switching that's been going on so I'm thankful Deb gave us a chance. Week 34: too many miracles

Olááá!!!! As the subject suggests, this week has been so so full of miracles. But the biggest miracle of all has to be our friend Zoe has decided she is going to be baptized on February 27!! We've only taught her for about a week now, but she is so prepared. We taught her the Restoration on Tuesday and I was able to tell her about Joseph Smith's first vision. Right after I finished, she looked at me with a smile so big I could see it through her mask and she said, "wow, that is amazing." Our next lesson with her was on Saturday and she told us she had prayed to know if Joseph Smith was a prophet and if the Book of Mormon was true and she had this overwhelming sense of peace. She read the Book of Mormon every single day since we'd last met, and she absolutely loves it. We invited her to be baptized, and she said yes!! Week 28: Staying in Springfield!

Hello everyone!  It was another crazy busy week here in Springfield! We had Zone Conference and our Mission President talked to us about the importance of having hope. We talked about how hope is an abiding trust in the Lord and that He will fulfill His promises! In times like these, we can always trust that if we are obedient and follow God's commandments, we can expect blessings! This message was extremely helpful to our friend Eve. She's had a pretty rough life, but when we talk to her about hope in Jesus Christ and how He can help her in any circumstance, there is a noticeable change in her. Hope is powerful! Also, I am not getting transferred! All three of us were really worried we were going to be split up because of all the craziness with other missionaries going home before Christmas.
