Week 40: 9 months and a baptism?!?

Olá!!!!

Well this was a pretty awesome week! Zoe got baptized and it was the best day ever!! As part of the baptismal service, she bore her testimony and everyone there felt the spirit so powerfully. Zoe is amazing, I'm so lucky to have met her!

This week I also hit 9 months/halfway on my mission! I feel so old now, but at the same time like I just showed up in Oregon yesterday! Time flies when you're having fun I guess! But in honor of nine months, here are nine things I've learned, in no particular order:)
1. Patience and love are key in everything you do
2. It isn't normal to put Bisquick in the fridge
3. Pronouncing the letter ã in Portuguese is very important. You can get yourself into some trouble if you don't
4. The Book of Mormon is true, and Joseph Smith was a prophet.
5. God does answer our prayers
6. Crater Lake still remains the most beautiful place on Earth
7. You're kinda cool if you're a missionary not from Utah
8. I like Hawaiian food
9. Being a missionary is the best!

Now in terms of number 9, don't get me wrong, it's really hard some days. There are sometimes I seriously wonder what I got myself into. But all these doubts and hard times are nothing compared to the joy that comes from teaching people about Jesus Christ!! I've loved these past 9 months, and I'm looking forward to 9 more!! Thanks to all you who have stuck with me this far:)) I'd love to hear from all of you!!

Com todo de meu coração,
Sister Johnson
