Week 27: Six months already?!?

Olá!!!

Well as the email title says, I have officially been a missionary for SIX MONTHS!! Time has gone by so fast I honestly don't feel like I've been out that long. One of my companions is on the same track as me so we got to celebrate this mile marker together with some 5 Guys. As you all know In n Out is my favorite, but the closest one is three hours away so I had to go for the next best thing. But I figured I would give six things I've learned these past six months as a missionary!

1. The key to helping anyone is to love them. Whether I am talking with church members, my companions, people we are teaching, or random people in the store, love is key
2. I like to cook! Who knew?
3. The Book of Mormon has the power to change lives. I've seen it in myself and in others.
4. Not as many people are for pineapple on pizza as I thought. I get rebuked for that quite often
5. Facebook finding can be hard, but fun! I think sometimes we think because something is hard, that makes it bad. But I've learned that is not true at all!
6. God has a plan for me, and it's a good one. He knew I needed to come to Oregon and be in both Klamath Falls and Springfield. If I had gone straight to Brazil like the original plan, I never would've met any of the people I have these past six months who have changed my life forever. So even though it's hard, I know I can always trust in Him.

Thanks for reading my little discourse there! But anyways, the point is I love being a missionary!

Some other things that happened this week included building a horse coral, playing some pretty intense games of Harry Potter Uno, learning how to remove graffiti, and sitting by a lot of campfires. I could tell about 100 stories from this week haha so if you want more send me an email and I'll fill you in:)

I hope you all have a wonderful week and are getting excited for Christmas!!

Love,
Sister Johnson
