Week 13: Join the State of Jefferson

Hello everyone!! This was a great week in Klamath Falls! Sister Massey and I got all moved into our new apartment. Luckily we only live 10 min away from where we used to live because I found out I am not the best at packing and definitely left a few things behind. We now live next door to two other Sisters which is pretty fun! For our daily exercise the four of us go to a track near our house to run. I have been running with one of the other Sisters and wow she's really pushing me. Turns out she runs XC and Track at BYU so everyone please pray for me to live through this transfer. I need all the speed I can get if I want to keep up with her "light jogging."

In other news we got to go back to Church!!! Sister Massey and I cover part of the 1st ward and the Keno branch. We attended the Keno branch yesterday and the members were so excited to see us. I guess the Elders that had been over their branch before never came or communicated with them. So now they are so excited to have us Sisters! Because the branch is so small they meet every week so we will have some sort of normalcy. With transfers we aren't teaching anyone right now so we're just continuing on with the Facebook Finding!!

In reference to the email title, many people in Klamath have decided they want to start their own state in the United States known as Jefferson. I attached a map of where the state of Jefferson will be along with one of the awesome banners that's all around town.

Hello everyone!!!! I have to apologize for not writing last week! I had the amazing opportunity to go to Medford and go to the temple! I am so thankful for temples and how they help us feel God's love for us! It was also awesome that I got to see my parents again for a little bit! Also Medford has an In n Out so it was overall a great day! In terms of people we are teaching we have been meeting with Deb for the past couple of weeks. In the past she has been meeting with Elders so we're the first Sisters she has met with. Deb told us she really liked meeting with Sisters because she felt she could open up and talk to us a lot more which was so good to hear! Originally she told the elders she no longer wanted to talk to missionaries because of all the switching that's been going on so I'm thankful Deb gave us a chance. Week 34: too many miracles

Olááá!!!! As the subject suggests, this week has been so so full of miracles. But the biggest miracle of all has to be our friend Zoe has decided she is going to be baptized on February 27!! We've only taught her for about a week now, but she is so prepared. We taught her the Restoration on Tuesday and I was able to tell her about Joseph Smith's first vision. Right after I finished, she looked at me with a smile so big I could see it through her mask and she said, "wow, that is amazing." Our next lesson with her was on Saturday and she told us she had prayed to know if Joseph Smith was a prophet and if the Book of Mormon was true and she had this overwhelming sense of peace. She read the Book of Mormon every single day since we'd last met, and she absolutely loves it. We invited her to be baptized, and she said yes!! Week 28: Staying in Springfield!

Hello everyone!  It was another crazy busy week here in Springfield! We had Zone Conference and our Mission President talked to us about the importance of having hope. We talked about how hope is an abiding trust in the Lord and that He will fulfill His promises! In times like these, we can always trust that if we are obedient and follow God's commandments, we can expect blessings! This message was extremely helpful to our friend Eve. She's had a pretty rough life, but when we talk to her about hope in Jesus Christ and how He can help her in any circumstance, there is a noticeable change in her. Hope is powerful! Also, I am not getting transferred! All three of us were really worried we were going to be split up because of all the craziness with other missionaries going home before Christmas.
