Week 7: Welcome to Klamath Falls!
Olá!!
Well I'm officially a real missionary now! I live in a small town about 4 hours south of Eugene called Klamath Falls! I like it here, it's very similar to Colorado weather wise. Because there are so many missionaries being reassigned in the United States there is a little bit of an overload of missionaries. So I actually have three companions instead of one so it's a little bit of a wild ride!! My trainer is named Sister Massey and she served in the Phillipines for about 3 months before coming here. The other sisters are Sister Nelson and she is training another Sister Johnson who was supposed to be in Norway! So I go by Sister CJ around here to help try and clear it up.
Due to the virus, most of our lessons are still done over zoom or facebook. It's been an adjustment but I'm really liking it here. All the people we've met here have been very nice and welcoming.
I am also so excited to be in Klamath Falls because my district leader is fluent in Portuguese so he's going to practice with me every week to make sure I don't lose it! It's the small things. It's also fun because in my apartment we speak three different languages (Portuguese, Tagalog, and Norwegian) so we practice praying and speaking in all of our languages which has been so cool!
I hope you all have a fantastic week! Love you all and I'd love an email from you!! (I can't respond to google hangouts or facebook messenger messages sadly)
Com muito amor,
Sister Johnson
1. Me and Sister Massey!
2. The District Leader and his companion brought the four of us sisters our favorite treats to welcome us to the area so I got some Baja Blast which was epic
3. All of my companions!
