Weeks 16 & 17: Temples and Car Washes!!

Image
Hello everyone!!!! I have to apologize for not writing last week! I had the amazing opportunity to go to Medford and go to the temple! I am so thankful for temples and how they help us feel God's love for us! It was also awesome that I got to see my parents again for a little bit! Also Medford has an In n Out so it was overall a great day! In terms of people we are teaching we have been meeting with Deb for the past couple of weeks. In the past she has been meeting with Elders so we're the first Sisters she has met with. Deb told us she really liked meeting with Sisters because she felt she could open up and talk to us a lot more which was so good to hear! Originally she told the elders she no longer wanted to talk to missionaries because of all the switching that's been going on so I'm thankful Deb gave us a chance. Sister Massey and I also had the chance to travel to a baptism! Since I've been in Klamath I've heard about Bob and Joyce and it has been a process...

Week 15: Road Trippin'

Hello everyone!! We got transfer news last night and I will be staying in the Klamath First Ward for at least the next three weeks which is awesome! I love Klamath and all the people I've gotten to meet here. As I am sure most of you know the entire West Coast is on fire right now. It has been really smoky here the past few days which hasn't been great. Currently, Klamath has a red flag warning so there is a high chance of fires, but the ones closest to us have been pretty well contained. I do know at least 40 missionaries in our mission have been displaced/evacuated and at least one of their apartments did burn down which is sad. But despite all the smoke and fires it has been a good opportunity to look for service and spread the hope that comes because of Jesus Christ! He truly is our Savior and because of Him, we can find peace at any time in our lives. In other news, Sister Massey and I took a little road trip to Macdoel, California! It is in our area and some Elders told u...

Week 14: Book of Mormon Book Club

Image
Olá a todos!! This week  Sister Massey and I have been praying that we would be able to find someone to teach. Well yesterday we were in our apartment and we got a text from the people we gave Books of Mormon to a few weeks ago. They asked us if we could come over and discuss the Book of Mormon with them and answer some questions. OF COURSE we can do that. So we went over last night and talked with them for about an hour all about our church and the Book of Mormon. We also told them about the Gospel Library app and all four of them downloaded it and were looking into it!! We are so excited and I know God hears and answers our prayers! In other news our apartment has ants. So many ants. So Sister Massey and I had a great time with the cans of raid this week. But besides that we are loving our new apartment! We have crazy neighbors who draw scary pictures of clowns and leave them on the sidewalk. But besides that they seem pretty nice. Have a great week everyone and don't forget to r...
